GEA SLT Training & Logistics Facility
Hunzinger served as Construction Manager/General Contractor for GEA’s new office, and training facility in Janesville, WI. The new 86,000 SF building includes office space and a training center for customers and employees, a repair shop for mechanical equipment and loading docks with additional office space to service logistics. The new facility features numerous measures to make it a net-zero facility including a high efficiency heating and cooling system, solar panels, LED lighting, electric car charging stations, recycling, and water reuse possibilities.

Hunzinger self-performed the site concrete, footings and foundations, rough and finish carpentry, and general labor. Zimmerman Architectural Studios, Inc. are the designers with Harwood Engineers as the engineering consultants. GEA is one of the world’s largest suppliers of systems and components to the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
