Who We Are
Hunzinger Construction Company was founded in 1907 and is a fourth-generation family and employee-owned firm responsible for the construction of many of Milwaukee’s most significant buildings.
Hunzinger employs over 150 people and has annual construction volume over $350 million and is recognized throughout the Midwest as a leader in the construction industry. Hunzinger is the only Wisconsin firm to be listed every year on the trade publication Engineering News Record’s top 400 General Contractors in the US since the inception of the list in 1964. We are also a true leader in the field of Sustainable Building and Green Building Practices being directly responsible for over 1/3 of US Green Building Council Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Buildings Certifications in the State of Wisconsin. Hunzinger’s facilities are LEED® Gold Certified. Employees at Hunzinger study to become LEED® Green Associates and we offer free classes and a curriculum to assist employees in achieving this goal so that ALL employees at Hunzinger are excellent stewards of our environment.
In 2016, Hunzinger opened a second location in Denver, Colorado and has a commitment to grow the business in multiple markets. What sets Hunzinger apart can best be defined by our commitment to always do the right thing. We are committed to continuous education, the refinement of best practices and the implementation of cutting-edge technology. We are innovative practitioners of emerging delivery methods, even those that may not have been specifically rooted in the construction industry.
