Alterra Corporate Headquarters is located at 10000 Innovation Drive in the Milwaukee County Research Park in Wauwatosa, WI. Hunzinger Construction Company served as Construction Manager at Risk for this 165,000 SF 3 story Class A office building completed in only 10 months. Eppstein Uhen Architects of Milwaukee were the project architects.

The 165,000 SF office building is in a very high profile location right off 41/45 on the eastern edge of the office park development. As Construction Manager at Risk, we were the General Contractor on this project that featured high-end finishes and extensive use of ceramic and stone throughout the building. Hunzinger worked closely with EUA and the owner to develop milestone budgets, schedules and value assessments. We also completed six Commercial Improvement projects within the building.

This job was a challenge because the owner had a very short schedule, about 10 months for a large building with extremely high-end finishes.

The stone and ceramic tile selected by the owner was very unique and the full service cafeteria kitchen had top of the line commercial appliances and amenities. There was a great deal of custom cherry millwork and trim throughout and a fountain in the two story rotunda lobby. The lobby had a curved ceiling with LED lighting that would change colors depending on the season. Our carpenters really enjoyed this project because working with cherry wood is not something they get to do everyday.
