Alexander Acosta-Hernandez, a Junior at Milwaukee School of Engineering majoring in Construction Management and David Zeller, a Junior at Marquette majoring in Civil Engineering were the 2022-23 recipients of scholarships from Hunzinger Construction.

Congratulations to Alexander Acosta-Hernandez of Waukegan, IL who received the Richard Hunzinger Memorial Scholarship this school year. According to Alexander, he chose MSOE because it’s a top school that offers a great education and is close to home and family. He also selected MSOE because of the superior programs offered. His major is Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration. While he still has a year of school to go, he looks forward to finding a company that he can sign onto full time.
Currently a junior, he says he loves his classes and teachers at MSOE. He particularly appreciates the small class sizes and the wider MSOE community. Alex is thankful for the scholarship that he says gives him the opportunity at attend MSOE because without it, he couldn’t afford to go there. He says the scholarship allows him to focus on his studies and not worry about money. He says the scholarship has helped him in numerous ways and he will always be thankful for it.
This scholarship is another example of how Hunzinger continues to give back to the industry by supporting the dreams of young people pursuing a career in the construction industry.
Congratulations to David Zeller, the 2022-2023 Marquette University Scholarship recipient. David is a junior at Marquette University who is majoring in Civil Engineering. He is also a part of the Track and Field team and competes in the 5k and 10k races.
David’s favorite class thus far has been Statistics with Dr. Wang whom he describes as very kind and caring, a professor always showing interest in his personal life.
“Your generosity has allowed me to attend this school and meet so many great people. Without this scholarship I would not be able to go here.”
