Hunzinger Construction Company is excited to welcome Reid Somers as a Project Engineer. Reid is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stout’s Construction Bachelor’s Degree Program where he graduated with honors. While in college, Reid was the Vice President of the Stout Ski and Snowboard Club and went on multiple ski & snowboard trips out west to resorts at Big Sky, Jackson Hole, and Telluride, to name a few. He was a member of Sigma Lambda Chi (construction program honors society) and the Student Construction Association that would volunteer to help construct small projects around Menomonie. He was also a member of the student chapter of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) where he competed in multiple student competitions where they would develop RFPs for heavy mechanical projects. The last competition he participated in provided an RFP for new refrigeration plant of the ice rinks at the lake placid Olympic Center (where the 1980 Men’s USA Hockey Team beat Russia).
Reid was born and raised in Mukwonago, WI and in his free time likes to snowboard, hunt, camp, fish, hike, golf and ride ATV’s. He enjoys visiting our National Parks and has seen Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Mt. Rainier. He is a HUGE Packers fan and is excited to start his career with Hunzinger, grow his construction knowledge, and be a part of the family culture at Hunzinger. Welcome Reid!
Hunzinger Construction Company is excited to welcome Mario Gonzalez as a Project Engineer. Mario recently finishedhis 2-year Construction Management degree at Waukesha Area Technical College. He also has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. For the past 8 years Mario has been serving been in the Air Force National Guard working as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was recently promoted to an Operations Manager.
In his very limited free time, he likes to stay active as much as possible playing sports like soccer, boxing, and basketball. Mario is also getting married this upcoming August.
