Mayfair Mall Parking Structure is located at 2500 N Mayfair Rd in Wauwatosa, WI on the south east side of the mall near Boston Store. Hunzinger was selected as the General Contractor for this new 361 stall two-level parking structure to replace the surface parking lot spaces displaced by recent mall additions. FRCH Design Worldwide of Cincinnati, OH is the project architect for all the work.
This second parking structure on the mall property is 228,170 SF and can park 630 vehicles on its two-levels. Hunzinger completed and turned over the deck just before the holiday shopping season.
Hunzinger Construction Company originally built Mayfair Mall in 1958 and since that time we also worked on Mayfair’s south parking deck.
Mayfair Mall boasts one of the highest occupancy rates as well as significantly above average sales per square foot as compared to other malls throughout the country. The mall contains over 180 stores and is anchored by Macys, Boston Store, and soon to be completed Nordstrom, as well as housing an 18 screen, AMC Theater.
The key to our success on this project was the aggressive schedule we were able establish and meet, even with the challenges of an unusually wet spring. Despite the harsh weather conditions, we were able to meet every milestone date established by the owner. Our strong project management team worked together to proactively address issues before they had a negative impact on the schedule. It is so important to stay out in front of potential problems, to anticipate and plan ahead so that you can build the project as it should be built.
