Hunzinger Construction Corporate Headquarters Renovation is located at 21100 Enterprise Avenue in Brookfield, WI. Hunzinger served as design/builder for the 5,300 square foot renovation that was the first ever project in the State of Wisconsin to achieve LEED-CI Gold. Hunzinger set out to create a more centralized Estimating department, maximize the existing space for the Accounting department and project management support personnel, update the HVAC system to provide better temperature control for occupants and create a more energy and resource efficient building.
The result was a project that achieved all those goals and the LEED-CI Gold certification by reducing water use by 30% using waterless urinals, low-flow toilets, and low-flow, sensor operated lavatory faucets, using high efficiency recessed direct/indirect fixtures with T8 lamps that achieved greater than an 18% reduction in lighting power density, using dual level switching, automatic shut-offs, and photo-sensing dimming and replacing the HVAC system. Private offices have zone damper and adjustable zone sensors and open interior areas have three zone dampers. On the construction side, 89% of the construction and demolition waste recycled and diverted from landfills.
