Hilton Garden Inn is located at 7675 Walton Street in Rockford, Illinois. Hunzinger was hired as construction manager for this 4-story, 135 guestroom new hotel designed by Eppstein Uhen Architects of Milwaukee.
The Hilton Garden Inn is located near the high-profile intersection of Interstate 39/90 and Illinois State Highway Business-20. The 4-story, 135-guestroom hotel is an upscale business hospitality facility that includes a grand lobby entrance, a fireplace lounge, a full dining/bar area, two outdoor patio areas, three meeting rooms that can be configured into a single large ballroom, a business center and a fully equipped board room. This hotel also features an indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness center, family game room and Pavilion Lounge. The enhanced pool area is complete with water volleyball, basketball, and a zero-degree entrance pool filled with fun water toys and activities.
The project went really well. We finished on time and within budget. I particularly remember the final walk through with the Hilton Corporate Inspection Team. We received very high marks and one of their highest ratings, I think our project finished 3rd or 4th overall in the nation of all the Hilton products being built for completeness and quality.
