Hunzinger was chosen to lead a renovation project of the Tower at University School of Milwaukee. This historic renovation began in early summer of 2023 and finished up in 2 months later. The project included a new roof and fascia trim along with painting, the replacement of windows and some minor tuckpointing.
The USM Tower is the prominent architectural feature of the school located in River Hills and was built in 1960. Since 1996 there has been a tradition for all graduates of the school to climb the tower upon completion of their schooling and sign their name somewhere inside the tower. This is a great tradition and an interesting challenge for our people as they were charged with preserving signatures that are on the old windows that were replaced. Our team worked with the school leadership to retain/relocate the signatures somewhere within the tower.
