Milwaukee School of Engineering Ruehlow Nursing Complex is located at 1025 North Broadway, in downtown Milwaukee. Hunzinger Construction Company served as Construction Manager for this 25,000 square foot transformation of vacant space located on the first floor of the Cudahy Student Center into the newly expanded School of Nursing. Uihlein Wilson Architects of Milwaukee served as the project architect.
The School of Nursing expansion and new construction project included new classrooms, laboratories, and faculty offices. The new space added four simulation patient rooms and nurse’s station to replicate a hospital environment, a Home Care Studio to assist in teaching in-home nursing care, 16 private offices, break out rooms for class discussion, four large labs, new classrooms with operable partition walls, a reception desk, and a student study area. The new space for the nursing labs is nearly quadruple the size of their old nursing labs and will enhance the already innovative education experience that is the hallmark of Milwaukee School of Engineering education.
