Miller Park Stadium is located at One Brewers Way in Milwaukee, WI, where the $400 million Miller Park site totals 265 acres including the ballpark, parking for 12,600 vehicles, roads, bridges, and ramps along with extensive landscaping. Hunzinger Construction served as the local member of the general contracting joint venture assembled to build the stadium. The architectural and engineering team was comprised of HKS Architects, NBBJ Architects, and Eppstein Uhen Architects.
Hunzinger along with joint venture partners, Hunt Construction and Clark Construction, constructed the premier ballpark that features 43,000 seats and 70 luxury boxes, including 20 Field Level Founders Suites that rank among the finest in baseball and 50 additional suites that are positioned on the Club Level. Undoubtedly, Miller Park’s most unique feature is the 12,000-ton, seven-panel, fan-shaped retractable roof that opens and closes almost silently in just 10 minutes. In addition to shielding fans from rain, the closed roof allows the seating area to be heated 30 degrees warmer than the outside temperature when closed, allowing games to be played in inclement weather and in more comfortable conditions than an open air stadium. Miller Park remains one of the largest public construction projects in Wisconsin history.
