Harley-Davidson Juneau Avenue 3700 Building Restack project located at 3700 Juneau Avenue in Milwaukee. The Restack project was a complete gut renovation of the entire building, all 6 floors were completed one half of a floor at a time. This 14 phase project took place over 3 years and all construction work was done in the fully occupied and operational office building. We understood that there could be no disruption of the office workers and proudly, there were none.
Hunzinger developed a rhythm to the renovation that began with the vacating and demolition of the offices on half of an entire floor. We salvaged materials and furniture that were slated for reuse. Next, all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems were installed and the finish work was carried out including a total reconfiguration of office furniture to incorporate new and reused office furniture and equipment. The work progressed from 6 East and 6 West, down through 5, 4, 3 and then the 1st floor. Our crews moved back up to the 2nd floor to wrap up the project. Mike Garber Architecture served as the project designer. Hallmarks of the new look include specialized lighting fixtures and grid wall paneling designed around historical elements within the building. Custom finishes adorn the space including walls that were stained to complement existing brick walls within the facility.
