Empower’s Colorado headquarters at 8515 E Orchard Road in Greenwood Village, CO
Hunzinger Construction served as the General Contractor to perform a 115,000 SF renovation of their Denver Tech Center campus. Wenk Associates in Denver, CO served as the project architects while Martin/Martin Consulting served as the project engineers.
The plaza and roadway were constructed over an elevated pre-cast structure, which underwent substantial structural repairs. Additionally, the entire subsurface of the project was waterproofed to protect occupied space below from water intrusion and to preserve the integrity of the structure. The Hunzinger team executed a creative multi-phased construction approach which allowed our client to conduct business uninterrupted – all while reconstructing every square foot of vehicle and pedestrian access to their three office towers.
The new plaza features pedestrian-friendly brick-paved walkways connecting the campus, illuminated, contoured decorative site walls and feature walls drawing passersby into the inspiring landscape. What was once a simple access-way has been transformed into a space that connects both the campus, and all who visit it.
Empower Retirement Corporate Headquarters, Company Store, Greenwood Village, CO.
Hunzinger Construction Company was selected to serve as Construction Manager/General Contractor for this new company store for the growing financial services company. Chord Design Studio (formerly Kenney Architects), designed the project. The thoughtful design and craftsmanship of this new company store has resulted in a significant increase in sales volume over its predecessor, which was located in the campus’s main lobby. Upon relocating the company store, Hunzinger renovated and modernized Empower’s main lobby.
