Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid located at 6880 Green Bay Road in Glendale, WI. Hunzinger Construction Company was hired to serve as the General Contractor for this 3,000 SF renovation to their existing library, administrative offices and common use spaces. Engberg Anderson Architects of Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward were hired as the project designers.

Hunzinger completed the demolition, masonry, and all carpentry work which included the installation of all architectural woodwork, doors, frames and hardware. While the offices received a refresh, the library was relocated and is now a focal point for their congregation with a striking glass entry that welcomes more use from members and visitors alike. The key feature is the new meditation room that houses Yahrzeit plaques of the two congregations that have now merged. These permanent plaques are lit to commemorate the anniversary of member’s passing.

“It’s always so satisfying to work with a faith community because we know that the impact of our work will be felt by many for a long time. We really enjoyed working with the architects at Engberg Anderson and with all the members of the congregation. It truly became a collaborative effort with beautiful results and an updated space that provided for a lot of technological upgrades including a new communication system that will make everything a bit easier and more comfortable for the staff and congregants.”
