Hunzinger Continues to Grow by Adding New Employees

Hunzinger Welcomes Maggie Pinnt as New Business Development Director

Maggie Pinnt is our new Business Development Director who comes to Hunzinger Construction from a nontraditional route. She began her career spending 5 years building brands and working on the advertising campaigns of large iconic SE Wisconsin companies.

After working at marketing and advertising agencies, she went to work for BizTimes Media, where she spent the next 7 years working with a variety of Wisconsin based firms strategizing content and helping companies tell their stories, specifically focusing on Construction, Manufacturing, and Hospitality. She credits her experience at the BizTimes for giving her the most valuable learning and working experiences, opening the most doors for her, and providing deep knowledge of the SE Wisconsin business community.

Maggie was born and raised in Stone Bank, went to Carroll University, currently lives in Hartland, and is a fixture all around the Lake Country. At Carroll, Maggie studied public relations and communications with an emphasis on business management. She serves on three advisory boards GPS Education Partners of Waukesha (one of Wisconsin’s oldest work-based learning programs), CVI (Center for Veterans issues), and the Milwaukee County War Memorial. In her free time, you can find her in the gym, singing with one of the two bands she performs with, or outside with her German Shepherd.

We Welcome Marc Gilman as Senior Estimator and Ryan Shaner as Assistant Project Manager

Marc Gilman has joined Hunzinger’s estimating department as a Senior Estimator providing additional estimating capacity so we can offer more services to our clients. He comes to Hunzinger Construction after working 22 years with Joseph J Henderson & Son, Inc. based in Gurnee, Illinois. Joseph J. Henderson & Son, Inc. is one of the largest and most well-respected commercial general contracting firms in northern Illinois. They do work in the Chicago area especially in Lake, McHenry, DuPage, Will, Kane and Cook Counties.

Marc brings a depth of knowledge specializing in heavy infrastructure including water and wastewater treatment plants. His focus has been on hard bid, design/build, and negotiated project experience with a focus on self-perform concrete, carpentry and millwright work. Marc attended Northern Michigan University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management.

Ryan Shaner has joined Hunzinger as an Assistant Project Manager. He comes to Hunzinger Construction after working for the past 13 years in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ryan was born and raised in Michigan. He earned a B.S. in Architecture from Lawrence Tech University in Southfield, Michigan at the height of the Great Recession. Facing a challenging job market, Ryan joined the AmeriCorps Volunteer program and focused on disaster recovery repairing houses. He became a Team Leader and led volunteers in rebuilding homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Following his service, Ryan took a job as a carpenter at Bywater Woodworks, Inc. in New Orleans and worked for 4 years as a trim carpenter with an emphasis on historic repairs. He also supervised historic masonry repair.

In 2016, Ryan became a Project Manager for Bywater an oversaw the $28 million historic preservation and new addition of Brulatour House, the home of the Historic New Orleans Collection located in the French Quarter. After 8 years with Bywater, the last 4 managing the Brulatour project, Ryan took a position as the Facilities Manager of the Historic New Orleans Collection where he managed a team of 16 employees across 13 buildings. After over a dozen years in NOLA, Ryan wanted to come back to the upper Midwest to be near family.

Ryan has a depth of design and construction knowledge and brings an owner’s perspective to his work, having worked on the facilities and maintenance side. We are happy to welcome Ryan as he is a multifaceted professional with hands-on design, construction, project management and facility management experience that further supports our Office Interiors Group and allows Hunzinger to provide another client centered perspective.
