Hunzinger Construction Company was recently recognized as a 2015 Green Master by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. Hunzinger’s Executive Vice President Jim Hunzinger and Phil Vetterkind our Director of Sustainable Business Solutions (SBS) attended the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council’s annual conference held on December 10th at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and received the award.
The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council is a network of Wisconsin business and organizations that are interested in, or actively responding to, the challenge of sustainability. Their goal is to establish Wisconsin not only as a destination for “sustainable businesses,” but as a home for businesses from all sectors with an interest in sustainability.
The Green Masters Program is a recognition and assessment program for Wisconsin businesses interested in improving their sustainability initiatives. The objective of the Green Masters Program is to provide companies with a benchmark for themselves and the ability to compare their sustainability performance to other companies in their sector. The Program helps distinguish these companies from their peers.
“I am very proud of our people and our company. We set a very high standard and have consistently tried to improve upon our sustainability efforts. This program is great because it helps us measure our accomplishments and keeps us focused on minimizing our impact of the environment”, said Jim Hunzinger.
