Building The Future Together

Yvonne Wallace Blane: Fellow Mortals Co-Founder

Norm Schreiner: Retired Superintendent

When animals were in need, Hunzinger was there to help. Fellow Mortals Wildlife Hospital is working with Hunzinger to convert 2,000 square feet of unused hospital space to animal treatment areas.

Fellow Mortals Wildlife Hospital is a facility that specializes in providing medical care to injured or orphaned wild animals. The hospital has been in operation since 1985.

Hunzinger agreed to take on the project at a reduced rate, saving Fellow Mortals $20,000 in construction fees and preconstruction service charges.

A former Hunzinger employee, Norm Schreiner, even came out of retirement to act as the superintendent for the project.

Construction is currently halted while Fellow Mortals continues fundraising efforts.

The hospital does not receive any government funding or grants and its operations are dependent on donations. So construction can run smoothly, please consider making a donation to help animals in need.

Yvonne Wallace Blane and Steve Blane, the hospital’s co-founders, are grateful for every donation they receive.

Hunzinger employees were moved by the work Fellow Mortals does and wanted to help and made donations to the wildlife hospital in January 2018 through our Charity Jeans program. Through the program, employees can make a contribution to a selected charity for the opportunity to dress casually on Mondays and Fridays. Hunzinger matches dollar for dollar all money raised in a given month and makes a donation to the charity.

We encourage anyone to donate what they can, not only for construction but for the animals Fellow Mortals help everyday.
