Building The Future Together

Generac Power Stage on the Summerfest Grounds:

During the 2020 off season, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., took the opportunity to welcome a new major stage sponsor by embarking on a complete redesign and renovation of the previous Harley Davidson Roadhouse Stage into the Generac Power Stage and hired Hunzinger Construction Company to serve as self-performing Construction Manager to complete the project. Located in the center of the grounds, the new Generac Power Stage features an entirely new, sleek stage façade and significant upgrades to video capabilities to enhance the attendee’s experience.

The stage has a neo-industrial style that is consistent with Generac’s power generation industrial and commercial manufactured products. The remaining areas within the venue’s site include multiple covered beverage stations and a two story elevated VIP entertainment area with preferred seating.

Hunzinger built 2 new foundations with structural steel wing walls that tie back to the original stage structure. These stylized metal panels house state-of-the-art video screens. The stage has a brand new rebuilt floor, the entire stage and accompanying VIP buildings were repainted and rebranded to reflect Generac’s bold orange and gray logo color scheme. The VIP areas also received new epoxy coated floors. The entire stage viewing area includes expanded video presence at the stage, with new and enlarged screens along both sides of the performance space featuring 4 screens throughout. There is new permanent theatrical lighting infrastructure throughout and a new pylon sign with high definition digital displays showcasing artist schedule and information.  There is also improved ADA seating configuration and a special VIP viewing section directly in front of the upgraded stage. Hunzinger self-performed demolition, concrete, and rough and finish carpentry.  The Generac Power Stage features EDM, hip-hop, alternative and rock artists.
