Building The Future Together

Located at 400 W Kilbourn Avenue in Milwaukee, WI.  Hunzinger Construction Company served as the original General Contractor for the arena.  Designed by Eschweiler & Eschweiler, the arena was built in seventeen months and the total cost was $11.6 million, about $120 million today.

The structure is concrete and brick with a Maple NBA basketball floor, an NHL size ice rink and can house an AstroTurf field.  It offers seats for 12,700 people and has 41,000 feet of floor space.  When it opened in 1950, it was one of the first to accommodate the needs of broadcast television.
