Hunzinger was hired as the general contractor by Caterpillar Global Mining, LLC for a 2,500 square foot project to construct concrete pits to relocate three machines for their manufacturing facility located at 1900 10th Avenue in South Milwaukee, WI.

The project includes the saw-cutting and removal of 14″ deep concrete floor and excavation for the three new machine pits to be cast-in-place concrete below grade. This project is being completed in a fully occupied facility in just 5 weeks. Graef is serving as the project engineer.

Alex Raver, Hunzinger’s Project Manager on the project noted that, “We have had great communication and teamwork with our subcontractors and our concrete crews have been doing an incredible job”. Hunzinger self-performed all the carpentry and concrete work for the project. Veit & Company, Inc. completed the interior deep demolition and excavation, the concrete and accessories were provided by Sonag and Hatch. Metro Welding also served in the project.
