X-GOLF AT AMERICAN FAMILY FIELD

X Golf at American Family Field is the ONLY X Golf situated inside a Major League Baseball stadium in the United States. The Milwaukee Brewers, in partnership with DeMain and Larson, decided to repurpose an underutilized club level restaurant within American Family Field to create the most innovative and accurate golf simulator experience in the world. The first of its kind year-round entertainment features seven state-of-the-art, indoor golf simulator bays over two floors – with three bays that offer expansive views of the playing field. Encompassing 18,000 SF, X-Golf boasts more than 50+ iconic golf courses to choose to play on. Test your skills on The Old Course at St. Andrews, Pebble Beach, PGA National, Kapalua, Innisbrook, and more.

X-Golf provides the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club with an activity that keeps the ballpark open for fans to connect year-round ensuring activity in the facility in the off-season. X-Golf is open for lunch and offers food throughout its operating hours. Featuring two full bars and seating areas with great views of the game. Specialty drinks and pub fare is available for fans year-round including all Brewers home games. In addition to individuals and small groups, X-Golf has become a huge meeting place for corporate and team-building events. X-Golf has also been hosting bachelor parties and birthdays as well as golf leagues and tournaments throughout the year.

The project was designed by Retail Design Consultants, LLC with Graef serving as project engineer. Hunzinger Construction Company served as the Construction Manager/General Contractor. In addition to managing the project, Hunzinger performed selective demo and rough and finish carpentry. Unique to all other Milwaukee Brewers stadium enhancement projects, this one took place DURING the baseball season. Hunzinger began demolition in April so that the architects and engineers could view the existing conditions and complete their drawings. The bulk of the construction took place from June-August with the Grand Opening in September while the baseball season was in full swing.

X Golf is unique in that their simulators are making 6000 CALCULATIONS PER SECOND as the Real-Time Data helps to improve a golfer’s game. It’s the most comprehensive indoor tracking system takes real-time measurements of every swing’s – Ball speed, launch, direction and spin – Club path, impact, speed and – Distance to flag, and so much more.

X-Golf’s State-of-the-Art System Measures Ball and Swing Data to an Unrivaled 98% Accuracy as their R & D department has spent over 15 years engineering a sophisticated combination of laser, light, impact, and camera sensory technologies to collect raw data at and around the impact zone. Combined with incredible computing power and custom-built 3D graphics software, X-Golf is the smartest kid in class.

This new technology measures not only the motion vector of the golf ball, but also the movement of the golf club such as path, angle of attack, trajectory and velocity. Following the laws of physics, these measurements allow us to perfectly replicate the golf ball flight (fade, draw, hook, slice).
