ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER SOUTH TOWER ADDITIONHealthcare
St. Joseph Regional Medical Center South Tower Addition is located at 5000 West Chambers Street in Milwaukee WI. Hunzinger Construction Company served as Construction Manager for this 126,000 square foot addition and 100,000 square foot renovation. BLM Group of Pennsylvania served as Master Architects and Zimmerman Architectural Studios of Milwaukee were the local designers.
The 6-story, state-of-the art addition serves as a specialized medical center to enhance the women and family services offered by the hospital. The complex, multi-functional interior of the South Tower addition allowed for the expansion of obstetric, neonatal, perinatal and pediatric units, and outpatient healthcare services and provides a warm, professional, multicultural atmosphere in an economically challenged area of Milwaukee. The entire south tower was constructed while the rest of the hospital remained occupied and fully functional.
Hunzinger also completed the 41-ton, two-level, 220-foot long skywalk bridge that connects the southwest corner of the South Tower addition to the existing parking structure located on 51st Street.
