PFISTER HOTEL TOWER RENOVATION & PARKING STRUCTUREHistorical Restoration / Adaptive Reuse
Pfister Hotel Tower Renovation & Parking Structure is located at 424 East Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee. The Marcus Corporation hired Hunzinger to serve as general contractor for the construction of a new 20-story, 305 room tower addition and an accompanying parking structure. Schroeder & Holt of Milwaukee served as project architect.
Additionally,Hunzinger renovated the Pfister Hotel, originally built in 1893, to accommodate expanded suites. Great care was taken to preserve the integrity of the original structure in order to retain the European style. Guests now have all the amenities of a modern hotel, along with the charm of a truly remarkable building that sets the standard for gracious accommodations. Guests savor dozens of 19th- and early-20th-century paintings hung in public areas of the hotel from the collection of founder Guido Pfister. Amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center, spa, martini bar, and more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space.
