MAYFAIR MALL DEMOLITION PROJECT

Hunzinger Construction Company has been selected to serve as General Contractor to General Growth Properties, owners and managers of Mayfair Mall located at 2500 North Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa, WI.  Hunzinger crews have undertaken an extensive demolition and preparation project on the mall’s main concourse consisting of 12,000 sf of tenant space.  The scope of work includes the demolition of existing finishes, concrete canopy and topping slab and the building of new corridor walls.  We are also providing the electrical feed to the new high profile tenant space.

This fast-tracked project is taking place in a fully functioning mall and will be completed in just 10 weeks.  Some of our structural and concrete demolition is being performed at night ensuring there is no disruption to the shopping experience.  Our construction team includes Lemberg Electric, Omega Demolition, Fibrwrap, USA Fire, Illingworth-Kilgust and Zien Mechanical, Inc.

Hunzinger Construction Company originally built Mayfair Mall in 1958 and since that time, has been back to spearhead many renovations and additions including our most recent project, building the Nordstrom Pad, Connector Link and Parking Structure.  Mayfair Mall boasts one of the highest occupancy rates in the country, as well as, significantly above average sales per square foot. The mall contains over 180 stores and is anchored by Macys, Boston Store, and recently opened Nordstrom, as well as housing an 18 screen, AMC Theater.
