JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER FITNESS CENTER

Jewish Community Center Fitness Center Renovations is located at 6255 North Santa Monica Boulevard Milwaukee. Hunzinger Construction Company was hired as General Contractor for this multi-faceted project designed by Kahler Slater Architects of Milwaukee.  This fast-tracked renovation includes a comprehensive refresh of the second floor of the fitness center with all new exercise equipment and the infrastructure to support it. An updated entry along with new flooring, wall coverings, and millwork throughout gives the space a completely updated look and function.  A structurally enhanced new stairway to improve access and function was installed.  To keep this busy facility functioning throughout construction, our crews relocated equipment into a conference room providing the center with a temporary facility.

Another aspect of this project is the total renovation of the member’s locker room including updated steam room, new lockers and a new coffee and juice bar. This high-end finish refresh had to be completed in 5 just weeks. This upgrade also includes the addition of a new dance studio.  Hunzinger crews self-performed selective demolition, concrete, masonry and all carpentry on the project. Our suppliers and subcontractors are Marohl, Cardinal, Omni Glass, Common Links, Austad, Braden Plumbing, JM Brennan, Nelco Electric, Hetzel Tile, Stuck and Block Iron. The total project will be complete by the end of August.
