BRADLEY CENTER SERVICE YARD RENOVATION

Sports & Entertainment / Sitework

BMO Harris Bradley Center’s Service Yard Renovations located at 1001 North 4th Street in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, WI. Hunzinger Construction Company served as design/builder for this fast-tracked project that was precursor work to the construction of the New Arena and involved the relocation of several operational infrastructure elements including utility services. The work also included a reconfiguration of the BMO Harris Bradley Center loading docks. The construction of the foundations and superstructure elements for the new docks occurred while all the existing docks remained functional. A new cooler, freezer, and maintenance room were also be constructed within the BMO Harris Bradley Center replacing the presently detached building scheduled to be demolished to make way for the New Arena construction. This project also included relocation of current broadcasting truck space to the south side of the existing parking structure along with pulling new technology cabling from various locations throughout the Bradley Center Arena to the new broadcasting truck area. An existing storage room was converted to a new pedestrian entrance west of the new loading dock.

Hunzinger crews worked to ensure that the Bradley Center can function at its greatest potential for its final years as home to the Milwaukee Bucks. This fast-tracked project was completed in August of 2016. Hunzinger’s design/build team included Kindness Architecture + Planning, ZS LLS as structural engineers, Kapur & Associates, Inc as the civil engineers along with Illingworth-Kilgust for HVAC and Lemberg Electric. Hunzinger self-performed selective demolition, masonry, concrete and all carpentry work. All the work took place in a fully functioning and occupied space.
