US Bank Building 31st Floor – Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP is located at 777 East Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee, WI. Hunzinger Construction Company was selected to serve as general contractor for a growing law firm’s 3,300 SF interior Class A office build out of the Suite on the 31st Floor of the US Bank Building. Kahler Slater, Inc. of Milwaukee is the project architect.

Hunzinger self-performed the demolition and provided needed carpentry work for the project. The building is in the heart of downtown with very limited space for storage, dumpsters and off-loading. This proved to be challenging as all the material has to be loaded and delivered up and out to the 31st  floor of a fully occupied building. There were tight rules and regulations regarding loading and working hours and our role was to ensure that all contractors on the project adhered to the owner’s requirements.

“The view was great! Working on the 31st floor is awesome because the views are fantastic but the challenge for this job was to get needed materials in and garbage out without disturbing the tenants. We were very careful to schedule all our deliveries before 8 AM or after 6PM and coordinated our use of the loading dock and freight with US Bank daily. To meet the owner and the tenant’s need, we were able to shave 2 weeks off a 9 week schedule and completed the job in just seven weeks so the tenant could move out of their old offices on May 1st. We always strive to meet the owner’s needs we wanted to accommodate their shorter turn about time. With great teamwork, we did it and the law firm loves their new space.”
