The seven greenhouses have a radiant floor heating system for primary heating that utilizes two high efficiency low condensing boilers. A building automation system for greenhouses called ARGUS integrates irrigation and misting systems, secondary unit heaters, grow lights, ventilation, and shading. Each greenhouse includes a solar shade system to reduce the sun light emission. Six of the seven greenhouses have an integrated black out shade system to force plants into dormancy. Cooling pads systems have been installed when the shading and ventilation systems cannot keep the greenhouses cool. (4) 20,000 gallon underground tanks store stormwater to be used for watering reducing the use of City water. A Storage Prep building contains a lab, cold storage room, a small kitchen, loading dock and offices.
