Brookfield-based Hunzinger tapped as general contractor for the comprehensive program upgrade that will initiate the Largest Club Project at Miller Park since the Ballpark Opened in 2001.
The Milwaukee Brewers today announced that Brookfield-based Hunzinger Construction, a fourth-generation, family-owned Wisconsin business, will serve as general contractor for a comprehensive rebuild of Miller Park’s food and beverage infrastructure. The project will encompass an architectural redesign throughout the ballpark by Uihlein Wilson Architects of Milwaukee. This undertaking will include 11 concession stands in the brand new “First Base Ward” and “Third Base Ward” on the Field Level and two brand new Field Level full-service bars with a variety of MillerCoors products and views of the field. The construction and rebranding of new stands, which will span all seating levels of the ballpark, will reflect the rich architectural history of Milwaukee. Hunzinger crews will install state-of-the-art equipment in the permanent concession stands and portable locations to enhance the quality of the offerings while providing 33% more points of sale for faster service. Additionally, the right field side of the Loge Level will host a new “Local Brews” Bar that will feature 30 taps serving craft beers from across Wisconsin.
As one of the oldest contracting firms in the Midwest, Hunzinger has tackled some of the region’s most notable and challenging projects and has worked on many of Milwaukee’s iconic professional sports and entertainment venues, including Miller Park, the Pabst Theater, the Summerfest grounds, the Wisconsin Center Convention Center, the UWM Panther Arena, the BMO Harris Bradley Center and the Milwaukee Bucks Entertainment Block.
“We are honored to continue our relationship with the Brewer’s and to work on this transformational project for Miller Park,” Hunzinger Construction Company Executive Vice President Kevin O’Toole said. “We feel privileged to continue our longstanding association with the Milwaukee Brewers and welcome this great opportunity for our firm.”
