Building The Future Together

On Thursday night, October 16th, Hunzinger Construction Company received The Daily Reporter’s Newsmakers Humanitarian of the Year Award (click for video of award).  Hunzinger Executive Vice President, Kevin O’Toole attended the event held at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center in downtown Milwaukee. In addition to the presentation of awards celebrating the recipients, this event also featured networking with architects, engineers and fellow contractors, and dinner.

The Daily Reporter Newsmakers of the Year awards recognizes outstanding achievements in the construction industry, as well as, impact on the building community.  The event is one of the largest of its kind in Wisconsin and hosts the construction industry’s leaders from across the state, from every level of construction, design, and development.

“We are incredibly humbled to be named Humanitarian of the Year.  At the core of Hunzinger’s company values are helping others in need and working to assist local charities.  Being an active community partner is central to why Hunzinger employees get involved.  It is rewarding to be able to do the right thing and we are proud of the work we do for those less fortunate or facing daunting challenges.  We take pride in doing our part to help the community where we do business,” O’Toole said.  Hunzinger was acknowledged for its work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee (BBBS), Lad Lake, Inhabit Milwaukee and for its Troop Care Shipments Program.
