Hunzinger Construction was honored to be ranked among 10 companies in Milwaukee Business Journal’s ‘Best Places to Work in 2015’ in the large businesses category. Through a scoring process based on employees rating their companies on various topics, the Business Journal selected a group of southeastern Wisconsin companies and organizations creating stimulating work environments that increase employee satisfaction and retention. Companies were rated on topics such as trust in senior leaders, team/manager effectiveness, retention probability, work engagement and feeling valued. In total, 33 winners were selected based on the highest scores in each category.
Hunzinger employees described their employer as one that encourages teamwork and looks out for employees best interest at all times, keeping an open-door policy no matter what their position and always “Doing the right thing, always.” “Everyone in the company has the opportunity to become involved in service (Make-A-Wish, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hunger Task Force, Lad Lake, etc.),” noted one employee. Hunzinger was also credited with supporting a flexible work environment and being a family-friendly company as well as encouraging continuing education.
