SILVERADO OAK-VILLAGE MEMORY CARE COMMUNITYAssisted Living / Senior Care
Silverado Oak-Village Memory Care Community is located at W128N6900 Northfield Drive in Menomonee Falls, WI. Hunzinger served as the general contractor for this 40 room, 50 bed, 30,155 square foot renovation that was undertaken in a fully occupied existing facility. The project architect was Chicago’s premier healthcare and senior living firm, Jensen & Halstead. Silverado is one of the nation’s leading assisted living companies focused on elderly residents with memory loss and dementia, and have 24 communities in Arizona, California, Illinois, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
The extensive renovations included new flooring and paint throughout, new memory boxes, stud wall construction, a new lean rail system throughout, and hard tile in the resident restroom floors. In addition, updated energy efficient entry lights were installed, new wooden shelving units and corridor niche storage units were built in place and extensive library and kitchen redesigns and updates were completed. Hunzinger also connected a new generator for emergency power backup. Our forces were responsible for demolition, concrete, masonry and all carpentry on the project, and all construction services were delivered in a fully operational environment without any interruption of services to the residents.
It has been my pleasure to work with the entire team at Hunzinger. Both on new construction and renovation projects, Hunzinger understood the unique set of challenges that comes with working on senior housing communities and tackled them head on. Hunzinger’s detailed project schedules and phasing plans fully took into account our operational requirements, and were strictly followed. And the constant communications to update us on the project status gave us a sense of comfort that we couldn’t get from many other contractors. The team at Hunzinger has always been responsible, patient, creative, and honest and they will be our #1 choice on our future projects in WI/IL.Sangmin Lee
