JOHNSON CONTROLS BATTERY TECHNOLOGY CENTER LAB REMODEL AND BATTERY TEST FACILITY ADDITION AND CONNECTOR LINK

Corporate Technology Centers

Johnson Controls Battery Technology Center Lab Remodel and Battery Test Facility Addition and Connector Link is located on Johnson Controls Worldwide Headquarters at 5757 North Green Bay Avenue in Glendale, WI. Hunzinger served as Construction Manager for this 45,000 square foot renovation and 3,700 square foot addition project that was designed by PACE Architects.

This project included a precast addition to the Battery Test Facility to add over a dozen new battery testing machines.  A new curtain wall connector link created an enclosed path between the highly trafficked BTF and BTC buildings adding a total of 3,700 new square feet for the addition and link.  The project also included a complete renovation of the Battery Technology Center’s laboratory space to significantly upgrade the look and performance of Johnson Controls’ research and design development labs.  A new roof membrane and air handlers, as well as, replacing outdated mechanical equipment greatly increased the use and energy performance of this 45,000 square foot building.

Johnson Controls and Hunzinger teams have worked in harmony with the expectation that the design solution would be transformed into the built form that meets Johnson Controls’ quality expectations, as well as our ambitious sustainability, safety and diversity goals.

Our work with Hunzinger continues on other projects in the Milwaukee area and varies in size and complexity. They treat each project with the same care and approach from start to finish.

I am proud to have Hunzinger on our team.
