HARLEY-DAVIDSON CORPORATE AIRCRAFT HANGAR

The Harley-Davidson Corporate Aircraft Hangar is located at 5460 South Howell Avenue in Milwaukee at General Mitchell International Airport. Hunzinger served as the General Contractor for major renovations and upgrades for the Harley-Davidson Motor Company’s flight support hanger at General Mitchell Field in Milwaukee. The project scope included new interior finishes for the 20,000 square foot facility which included a new epoxy floor system for ease of maintenance.

The existing hanger door assembly was replaced with a larger single door which required a small addition and accompanying foundations which greatly improved the efficiency of the operations. Mechanical and Electrical infrastructure was replaced to accommodate a new infrared heating system, energy efficient lighting as well as significant technology and security upgrades. Exterior improvements included a new and expanded snow melt system and new approach apron. Due to the nature of the work being done at General Mitchell Field, all work was accomplished in compliance with TSA and FAA guidelines, rules and regulations.
