CUNA MUTUAL GROUP CORPORATE AIRCRAFT HANGAR

The CUNA Mutual Group Corporate Aircraft Hangar is located at 400 International Lane in Madison, WI. Hunzinger was selected as General Contractor to build their new 18,000 square foot hangar. Strang Architects of Madison were the project designers.

The project included constructing the new hangar, multiple private offices, vending space, mechanical and janitor rooms, member lounge, reception area and restrooms with private showers. 12 interior parking spaces and 30 exterior parking spaces were also added. The hangar included a new concrete apron with a sliding hangar door. Hunzinger installed radiant heat in the flooring throughout the entire project, including the apron. The work complied with all TSA and FAA rules and regulations. All Hunzinger workers were subject to background checks and were badged in order to work within the gated and restricted areas. Hunzinger self-performed concrete, masonry and all rough and finish carpentry. The project was successfully completed in 6 months and with winter conditions.
