Creating The Perfect Sound Stage

The project's general contractor, Hunzinger Construction, Brookfield, needed to go into more detail than on a typical tenant improvement project before the work crews understood the intricacies of creating a state-of-the-art recording studio.

"When they did, they said, 'Oh, that's cool!'," said Hunzinger project manager Shem Lemke.

That was the common sentiment among the professionals and building trades workers who converted a vacant, open space that had been a Blatz brewhouse, 1120 N. Market St., into an audio and video studio where commercials and instructional videos are recorded. The project for Tanner Monagle Music, Picture & Post quickly attracted the enthusiastic involvement of professionals who were either musicians or music fans.
