A treehouse grows into a happy ending

"We think it will be off slightly from 2007. According to McGraw Hill Construction, our region was down slightly in 2007 compared to 2006 and will be again in 2008. Technically, the buildout of an old Blatz brewhouse in downtown Milwaukee was a tenant improvement, so it's not surprising that the heating subcontractors would be puzzled when the plans called for oversized ductwork to minimize any "whistling" sound.

Hunzinger Construction Company in Brookfield has been collecting packages for military units in Afghanistan and Iraq, and workers were packing up shipments that put them over the 2-ton mark on Tuesday, at a reception to honor Staff Sgt. Alan Soper, a Bronze Star Recipient who recently returned from Afghanistan. Soper's unit is one of 16 units that has been "adopted" by the company.

The new Pewaukee office building, constructed by Hunzinger Construction Company and designed by Plunkett Raysich Architects, will be a single story multi-tenant Class-A building. Bayshore Town Center's new parking deck officially opened Wednesday, marking the completion of the first phase of the Glendale shopping mall's $292 million redevelopment.
