Building The Future Together

Hunzinger is proud to have just completed Sendik’s newest store set to launch with a Grand Opening Celebration on Sunday, April 23rd at The Corners of Brookfield. Hunzinger was the General Contractor on this latest addition to their growing family of stores that will have a full variety of grocery offerings, including their famous hand-stacked produce, a Fresh2GO deli, full-service meat and bakery counters, a Sendik’s Home department and more.

“This is our 90th year in business, and we are very flattered that the demand for our brand continues to grow,” said family co-owner Ted Balistreri. “The Corners is an ideal location to serve the Waukesha County community. The site offers easy access for our guests from the Goerke’s Corners interchange, ample parking and is sure to become a premier retail destination in southeastern Wisconsin.”

After the successful completion of the Sendik’s in West Milwaukee and at The Corners of Brookfield, Hunzinger was hired as the Construction Manager for a new 17,000 square foot Sendik’s Fresh2GO located at 5101 South 108th Street in Hales Corners, WI. This location will offer deli fresh selections, groceries and gasoline.

Hunzinger was also hired as the General Contractor for another Sendik’s location at 701 Meadowbrook Road in Waukesha. This former Sentry Food Store will undergo a massive 45,000 square foot renovation to transform the space into a full-service Sendik’s. The new store will be a welcome addition to the Meadowbrook Plaza.

Madison Maher Architects are the designers of all three Sendik’s projects. The Hales Corners and Meadowbrook Plaza locations will be open in early July of 2017.
