Summary:
Precast addition to the Battery Test Facility to service more than a dozen new battery testing machines. New curtain wall connector link creating an enclosed path between the highly trafficked BTF and BTC buildings. Total square footage for the addition and link is approximately 3,700 square feet. Construction on the addition and link finished in July 2010.
Also a complete renovation of the Battery Technology Center’s laboratory space is underway significantly upgrading the look and performance of Johnson Controls’ research and design labs. A new roof membrane, air handlers, and replacing outdated mechanical equipment will greatly increase the use and energy performance of the building. The 45,000 square foot remodel is slated to be completed mid 2011.
