Hunzinger has received multiple honors recently and we are so proud to announce that for the third year in a row, we have been named a Top Workplace by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The newspaper awards businesses that they believe are the best places to work in southeast Wisconsin and the basis for the selection comes directly from submissions from the employees who find their jobs to be the most meaningful and rewarding. We are so gratified that our employees feel that way and we are committed to maintaining that positive atmosphere in our workplace.
In another honor, Hunzinger Construction Company was awarded the Business Partner of the Year by the United Way in Waukesha County at their recent Volunteer Recognition and Celebration Award Ceremony. The award is presented to a business that has mobilized a group of employee volunteers from within to help a community within Waukesha County with an exemplary project or program. Hunzinger was nominated for the Troop Care Shipment Program.
Since early 2006, Hunzinger Construction has spearheaded an effort to send much needed supplies to our troops serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. Engaging employee volunteers, other companies, community members, local schools and service organizations, we have donated and shipped over 31 tons of items from our Hunzinger offices in Brookfield, WI. This program has sent quarterly shipments to well over 100 different military units.
We truly appreciate the recognition but our program would not be a success without the support of local organizations and volunteers and we are thrilled to celebrate with them a program that continues to provide care for our servicemen and women!
If those two honors weren’t enough, Hunzinger was recently named a 2014 Top 10 Business of the Year by the Waukesha County Business Alliance and media partner BizTimes Media, LLC.
This annual award recognizes companies headquartered in southeastern Wisconsin that have consistent financial growth, and demonstrate a commitment to good business practice through their employee relations, customer-focused commitment, community service and business education partnerships.
