Safety

Hunzinger was the first contractor in Wisconsin to partner at a 5-STAR level with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration through OSHA's CHASE-WISCONSIN Program (Construction Health and Safety Excellence Agreement). The program recognizes Hunzinger for the measures taken in the training of their crews, as well as on-the-job compliance measures, that go beyond the minimum OSHA requirements established by the Department of Labor.

Hunzinger qualified for this partnership by being at least 10% below the industry accident incidence rate and passing a qualifying inspection performed by Wisconsin Consultation Services, part of Wisconsin's Department of Commerce.

Demanding a safe work environment creates positive, measurable results. Hunzinger is proud to hold, as testament to our focus on safety, 12 First Place Safety Awards, the 2003 & 2005 Perfect Safety Award from the Associated General Contractors of WI and in 2008 was named "The Safest Contractor in the United States" by the Associated General Contractors of America. Most recently (2009-2010), Hunzinger received a National Certificate of Commendation.

Our outstanding safety record can be attributed to our Safety Program and the dedication of all of our employees to make each and every project a safe project. Hunzinger employs a full time Safety Director and Site Safety Manager to oversee and implement our Safety Program.
