Green Building

At Hunzinger Construction, we are committed to excellence in the marketplace. Since 1907, we have continually strived to "Do The Right Thing," which is the foundation of our Total Quality Management Program, Q3.

That is why our principals and employees are dedicated to Sustainability. The support within our firm has been overwhelming. Our team of LEED Accredited Professionals has grown to over 25 members and continues to increase. They are supported by 30 additional LEED trained team members.

A Qualified Team

Our Team of LEED Professionals work together to effectively incorporate green building options based on the specific needs of each individual project. In addition, we will assist the Owner with the building certification process. Our professionals have been trained by the U.S. Green Building Council and regularly attend detailed training sessions focused on new methods and alternatives regarding the environment and green building. Key members of Hunzinger's Sustainable Building Solutions™ Team are also Pervious Concrete Certified through the National Ready Mix Concrete Association.

Environmental Options with Lasting Benefits

In the initial stages of planning, Hunzinger's Sustainable Building Solutions™ Team analyzes each project phase to assess which environmental options are most appropriate and most cost-effective. Hunzinger provides environmental options for companies at all budget levels with recommendations on site use and utilization, selection of materials, and building systems and equipment.

Hunzinger's Construction Waste Management Plan

As a contractor, one of the greatest contributions to sustainability we can make is the implementation of a company-wide Construction Waste Management Plan. The construction and demolition waste stream provides many opportunities for diverting huge quantities of often relatively clean materials. Hunzinger is committed to diverting construction waste for its projects from landfills and has been working with Wastecap Wisconsin to further develop the company's waste management program.
